Lakes and Walking Trails

King Lakes Entry

King Lakes has two lakes surrounded by walking trails. No swimming, diving or boating is allowed. Fireworks and motorized vehicles are not allowed. Only catch and release fishing is allowed. The lakes are stocked with triploid grass carp to help control weeds and algae. The fish are sterile and thus removing the fish costs the HOA money to restock them. The lakes are full of all sorts of other wildlife, so please watch out for snakes, alligators and other wildlife.

The trails have mile markers so you can track your distance. The distance of both lakes is measured in a counter-clockwise/NASCAR fashion. The north lake (smaller) is .51 miles starting at the post nearest the intersection of Northlight and Celtic Terrace. There is a mile marker at the 1/4 mile distance in addition to the start/end marker of .51 miles. North Lake Markers

The south lake (larger) is .68 miles starting at the post nearest the blue stretching equipment. There are markers at the 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile distance in addition to the start/end marker of .68 miles.

Additionally there are fitness stations located around both lakes. The following exercise equipment is available:
